The Garden to Easel series is where I grow the models for the paintings, and paint them right after harvest. For some of these paintings I encase the preserved plant or seeds from the "plant model"  into the painting.
     This is a Corno di Toro Pepper from my 2022 summer garden. Several seeds from the pepper that modeled for the painting are painted and blended into the signature bottom right.
